A fascinating 60 Minute Masterclass with Q&A. Delivered by Sereena Abbassi. Thursday June 22nd 2023. 12:30 – 13:30pm BST
Navigating cancel culture, swirling debates and difficult conversations can make it hard to know how to show up as an ally for others, with confidence.
That doesn’t mean it’s an excuse not to.
For our June Confidence & Influence Masterclass, we will be welcoming Sereena Abbassi, Equity & Inclusion Advisor, to help us understand ‘How to be confidently active about intersectionality.’
Sereena has forged a career by taking activism into the corporate space as an Equity & Inclusion Practitioner, Advisor, Consultant, Coach, Public Speaker, Awards Judge and Writer. She was previously the Worldwide Head of Culture & Inclusion at M&C Saatchi Group and formerly the CEO of the British cultural and political magazine and media company gal-dem. Sereena currently sits as a Board of Directors for The Bristol Cable and is an advisory board member for the Patchwork Foundation –– a charity that supports historically underserved young people get into politics.
Sereena has an M.A. in Postcolonial Culture & Global Policy from Goldsmiths University, London, and a B.A. in Music, Visual Arts and Performance from The University of Brighton. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce. Sereena is British, Persian-Iranian, and Jamaican –– and has lived and worked in the U.S., the Netherlands, Iran and Spain.
